NSW Child Protection and Wellbeing Interagency Conference
Reforms- two years on

NSW Government has a five-year plan to fundamentally change the way children and families are supported and protected: Keep Them Safe: A shared approach to child wellbeing.

Who should attend?

Delegates are welcome from across the government and non-government sectors working in the child protection and wellbeing field, including representatives from:

• Aboriginal organisations
• General Practice
• Schools (eg. Principals)
• Rural and remote areas
• Culturally and linguistically diverse services
• Children’s Services
• Out of home care services
• Policy and practice.

What to expect

This conference provides an opportunity to reflect on:

• progress towards improving safety, welfare and wellbeing of all children and young people in New South Wales.
• changed policy, practice and systems
• strengthened partnerships
• the challenges that remain.

The conference will be organised by NSW Health on behalf of NSW Government and co-hosted with the Association of Children’s Welfare Agencies (ACWA).

Registrations for the NSW Child Protection and Wellbeing Interagency Conference have now closed.  We have received a fantastic response and have reached the venue capacity of 500 attendees.

Accommodation

The conference has been able to obtain group discount rates at the Vibe Hotel North Sydney for those delegates requiring accommodation during the conference. The discounted rates are available for the dates of 28th, 29th and 30th November.

The Vibe Hotel is the closest accommodation venue to Luna Park and is a short 5 minute walk.
