In January 2010, Justice and Human Services CEOs approved development of a Keep Them Safe Change Management strategy. The consulting firm Bendelta was contracted to develop a Keep Them Safe Change Management Plan as part of the strategy to guide cultural change across all relevant government and non-government agencies.
The Change Management Plan consists of five primary integrated and inter-dependent strategies: communications, role modelling, enablement, professional development, and collaborative governance.
Bendelta undertook targeted regional and central consultation in the development of the Change Management Plan, including engagement with key staff in the following sectors: Aboriginal services; human services; children’s services; education; health (including mental health services); police and justice; disability services; and migrant and refugee services.
The Change Management Plan is currently being implemented throughout NSW.
